Assessments Help You to Look At Yourself Thoughtfully

The foundation for any career exploration or job search should rest on a solid knowledge of one’s talents.  Everyone is born with natural abilities.  They are not influenced by education or experience.  By the age of fourteen the natural abilities of each individual have matured enough to be defined and measured.  One might think that we would just know what we are good at, but that is not usually the case according to Peter Drucker, one of the foremost business thinkers of our time. And these abilities are not measured by the typical assessments given in high school and college. Skills often mask as abilities.  We can have well-developed skills that serve us in the absence of a particular ability.  The difference between working purely from skill and ability is the ease with which a task is performed.  Things that are easy for us are enjoyable, maybe even downright fun!  When we work from skills alone we find our work to be tedious and maybe even frustrating.  To find a truly satisfying career we must be able to utilize skill sets based on natural abilities.

 For this reason, I use a combination of carefully selected assessments and other tools to help you to look thoughtfully at what and where you want to beto see yourself with new eyes.
